In our weekly look at some advanced analytical statistics, we see that New Orleans Pelicans forward Quincy Pondexter, noted for his defensive acumen, has been pretty good on the other end as well.

These numbers from BasketballReference.com show that while Pondexter leads the Pelicans’ starters in 3-point attempt rate – the percentage of shots he takes from 3-point range – Pondexter’s true shooting percentage is an impressive 56.9 percent.

That measure of efficiency which takes into account 2-point and 3-point field goals and free throws, is second among New Orleans starters.
