Deputy Killed In Shootout, 2 Others Wounded

BAILEY, Colo. (CBS4)– A 12-year maestro emissary was killed in a shootout in Bailey Wednesday morning. Two other Park County Sheriff’s Office deputies were shot, one with life-threatening injuries.

The sharpened happened about 9:30 a.m. Wednesday during a home during 36 Iris Drive in a Friendship Ranch Subdivision in Bailey when deputies attempted to offer an eviction notice. The subject, identified as Martin Wirth, was holding a purloin when he dismissed during a deputies.

The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office told CBS4 News there was a shootout between deputies and Wirth.

Wirth was killed when deputies returned fire. Wirth apparently had an ongoing eviction conflict with authorities as documented in a website from a Colorado Foreclosure Resistance Coalition.

The deputies concerned have not been identified nonetheless a emissary who was killed was a 12-year maestro with a sheriff’s office.

One emissary who was shot suffered life-threatening injuries and was rushed to St. Anthony’s Central Hospital.

“He is now in medicine during this time,” pronounced CBI mouthpiece Susan Medina.
